Ans. Vikramaditya was never deceived by any one and was very popular for his Judgements. He never punished a rightman and guilty could not escape from his eyes. He became legend for his right Judgement.
Once two women came to him to claim a child. It was perplexing dispute. Both the sides were heard and none was going to yield. At last the king asked his executioner to cut the child into two pieces to give one to each claiment. When the executioner took his sword to kill the child the real mother started crying and asked the king to give the child to the other woman. In this way the real mother was found out. The child was given to her while the other woman was punished. This Judgement shows the excellence of the great king Vikramaditya.
विक्रमादित्य को कभी कोई दोषी नहीं ठहरा पाया तवा वह अपने न्याय के लिए काफी प्रसिद्ध था। उसने कभी किसी निर्दोष को सजा नहीं दी तथा दोषी उसके न्याय से बच भी नहीं पाया।
एक बार दो औरतें एक बच्चे को लेकर आयीं और दोनों ही उसे अपना बच्चा बता रही थी। यह बहुत ही गम्भीर विवाद था। राजा ने दोनों को ही बहुत ध्यान से सुना जो बच्चे पर अपना दावा पेश कर रही थी। उसने अपने जल्लाद से कहा कि बच्चे के दो टुकड़े करके एक-एक दोनों में बाँट दो। जैसे ही जल्लाद ने अपनी तलवार उठाई, बच्चे की वास्तविक माँ ने बच्चे को गोद में उठा लिया और रोते हुए राजा से कहा कि आप इसे दूसरी औरत को दे दीजिए। इस प्रकार राजा को वास्तविक माँ का पता चल गया और उसने बच्चे को उसी को दे दिया जबकि दूसरी औरत को सजा दी गई।
राजा विक्रमादित्य के इस निर्णय से उसकी बौद्धिकता व निर्णय लेने की क्षमता का पता चलता है।
